Programmable Totaline Thermostat

A Totaline thermostat is used to manage both cooling and heating system in a house. This digital gadget has various settings and it can be programmed by the individual using it. For saving on energy expenses, the Totaline Thermostat can be programmed with varying temperature settings for whenever no one is at home.

Setting the Clock of your Totaline Thermostat

There is a digital clock shown on the corner of the LCD screen at the top left. The clock should be set when it is connected for the first time. Click on the ‘Set Clock’ knob found on the Totaline Thermostat. Use the Up-Down arrows to adjust the time. Ensure that the clock is set accurately on AM or PM as shown on the screen.

The ‘Mode’ knob is used to select either the cooling or heating system. To set up the heater to function, press the button until ‘Heat’ comes on the display. The present temperature of the ‘heat’ mode will appear under the word. Press the Up-Down buttons to adjust the heat to the temperature you would prefer it to be when turned on.

For controlling the air conditioner, the ‘Mode’ button should be pressed until the word ‘Cool’ is displayed. The current temperature will appear over the word. Use the Up-Down buttons to make adjustment to mode temperature of ‘Cool.’

When the both mode settings are in put in the thermostat, the Totaline thermostat can be set to ‘Auto’ mode where the cooling or heating system will come on when the temperature of the room reaches the limits that were preset. Press the ‘Auto’ mode button for cooling or heating until the word ‘Auto’ is seen on the screen. To change the settings from ‘Auto’ keep pressing the button for ‘Mode’ until the word ‘Off’ comes on the screen.

For programming the remote control, press the ‘Program’ button followed by the one for ‘Mode.’ The word ‘Occupied’ will appear on the screen of the LCD also with the word ‘Cool.’ Set up the cooling temperature then press the button for ‘Mode’ to get to the setting or heat. Make changes to the heat setting then press the ‘Mode’ button to get to the ‘Unoccupied’ display. Make adjustment to the ‘Cool’ and ‘Heat’ settings by pressing the ‘Mode’ button alternately. Select which day you would like the settings to operate by using the Up-Down arrow buttons.

Put in the time the settings should take effect. Press the Up-Down buttons on the screen with ‘Occupied’ on it to change the start time and use ‘Mode’ to enter the time it should stop.

There are about four hundred and fifty Totaline stores presently found in North America and this number is increasing.
